About Native Here Nursery
Native plants from Alameda and Contra Costa
Located at Tilden Regional Park, 101 Golf Course Dr, Berkeley, CA 94708, Native Here Nursery operates as a plant nursery serving Berkeley in California. This page gathers the practical details people usually look for before visiting: where it is, how to reach it, when it opens and how customers rate it.
In Berkeley, garden centers are busiest on spring weekends, when new stock arrives and popular plants sell out; weekday mornings are calmer and staff have more time to answer questions. Ask which plants are hardy for your USDA zone in California, whether trees and shrubs carry a replacement guarantee (one year is common), and whether the nursery delivers and plants large items. Fall is the best planting season for many trees and perennials, and end-of-season sales are common. Many nurseries close or shorten hours in winter, so check the listing for current hours and Google rating before you go.
Hours are published for 1 day a week. Typical hours are 10 amβ2 pm. Note that it does not open on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Sunday. Hours in the United States do change around federal holidays and long weekends, so a quick call before a special trip is sensible. Stop by when visiting Tilden or seeing the views from Grizzly Peak. Friendly knowledgeable staff, helpful signs on plants, healthy looking plants. Found the best crop of 1 gallon Dutchman pipevines

Fantastic place to get beautiful plants at great prices! The gardeners are friendly and knowledgeable. Nursery is laid out according to where in the Bay the plant is from, so I could easily find plants suited to my garden. Laid back, non profit, and a lot of fun to walk around (since there is a load of info posted about every plant) - doesnβt get better than that!

Love this place! Locally sourced plants for the native plant lover. Wide selection with good stock even in January. Run by kind and helpful volunteers. Their online inventory was up to date. The only trick is they have narrow opening hours.
